Biography

A New York-based, Meisner-trained actress, producer and theater artist, Carlotta works across the board in theater, film, tv, commercials and voiceovers. On stage, Carlotta has worked with some of New York’s most exciting theater companies including Nylon Fusion, White Horse Theater Co, toUch Performance Art & many more, and performed all over the city in venues including Cherry Lane Theatre, La MaMa Experimental Theater Club, TNC & many others. Recent theater highlights including originating roles in the world premieres of Paolo Bignami’s The Journey I Never Made (Cherry Lane – Kairos Italy Theater), Erik Ehn’s Clover (La MaMa – dir. Glory Kadigan), and Frank J. Avella’s Lured. (dir. Rod Kaats) Carlotta can also be heard in dozens of voiceovers across lots of genres – including audiobooks, commercials & educational projects – in multiple languages. Proud graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Academy Company, and of professional Meisner training with Andrea Dantas. 

As Producer, Carlotta has collaborated with In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY since its first edition as the festival’s Executive Producer. She’s been a proud member of KIT-Kairos Italy Theater since 2012, starring in many of their productions as well as serving as the company’s Literary and Producing Director. She’s thrilled to foster KIT and In Scena!’s essential labors in spreading Italian theater.

Carlotta is also a published theatrical translator, whose commissions have included works by some of Italy’s most prominent playwrights. With In Scena!, she has been the Official Translation of the Mario Fratti Award since its inception in 2014.
