Alessandro Blasioli – Playwright and Actor
Alessandro Blasioli is an actor and playwright, and has studied singing and acting from a very young age. In 2014 he completed a BA in Acting at Wales University, and a degree at the Accademia Eutheca. He also took part in the XXVIII edition of the Todi festival with the show “L’Abbecedario del Conte Tolstoj,” directed by Riccardo Reim, and in the same year studied Commedia dell’Arte in Paris at the AIDAS Academy, working with Carlo Boso. He is among the founders of the Sasiski! Company of Commedia dell’Arte performers, with whom he has performed original pieces all over Italy. In 2015 he received the Honorable Mention of the Jury President at the IV Edition of the “Silver Sword” international festival in Moscow; he also performed as Alcindoro in the musical “Mimì è una civetta”, directed by Greg Ganakas. As an independent artist, he won numerous national awards with his short “A Vostra completa disposizione!”, which he later adapted into the monologue This Is My House, winner of the NUOVOImaie Best Actor award at the Dominio Pubblico festival in Rome. The show was also selected to participate in the Rome Fringe Festival. In 2017 he wrote, directed and performed the monologue “DPR – Web Sommerso”, which received a Special Jury Mention at the Festival InDivenire in Rome. He is currently working on the national project “Notturni della Città – Narrazioni itineranti per quattro passeggeri” which will take him to Chieti, Teramo, L’Aquila and Pescara.
